Wig Attachment and Care Instructions
Adhesive: No Tape Silicone Gel Adhesive
Supplies Needed:
Scalp Protector
Oh So Soft Remover
Rat Tail Comb
Knot Sealer
Seal the knots of your unit prior to the first application.
Step 1: Prep Your Hairline
The first step is to cut the lace back to the hairline. Be careful not to cut any of the baby hair. Place the wig on your head. Position the wig hairline about ¼ inch in front of your hairline. Once you are satisfied with the matching of the wig and your hairline, braid the hairline and be sure to include all baby hairs so they are not cut accidently. Remove the wig from your head and use a small sharp scissor to trim the lace back to the hairline. Do not leave any lace on the unit for the most natural look.
Step 2: Clean
Use Scalp Protector around the perimeter of your head to remove any oil and bacteria. Start with the front of your hairline, then the back, and finally the sides. Please use a skin protector to create a layer between your skin and the glue to avoid dermatitis. Oily skin weakens the bond of the adhesives and prevents the strongest hold. Allow the Scalp Protector to dry before applying the glue.
Step 3: Adhesive Application
No Tape Gel Adhesive
Use No Tape very sparingly; a little goes a long way. Apply the glue directly from the thin spout of the tube in a thin one inch layer. Section your head into four quarters and apply the glue sparingly to one quarter at a time. Use a cool blow dryer to dry the glue faster. It typically takes 10 minutes for the glue to dry. When the glue cures, and is completely dry, use a rat tail comb to apply pressure to the lace onto the glue in a circular manner. Do not apply the lace onto the glue until it is completely dry or your hold will be compromised.
Repeat the steps for your nape and sides. Before you style the wig please wait 15 minutes to allow the glue to adhere and completely dry.

Adhesive: Ultra Hold
Supplies Needed:
Scalp Protector
Lace Release
Ultra Hold
C-22 Citrus Remover
Knot Sealer
Thank you for your purchase of a Diva Lace Front Wig. A lot of care has gone into the creation of this unit. The following instructions are for caring for your lace wig. The method of bonding requires the area to be hairless in order to secure the wig securely. You may want to position the unit inch in front of your hairline to avoid contact with your own hair.
Step 1: Prep Your Hairline
The first step is to cut the lace back to the hairline. Be careful not to cut any of the hair. Place the wig on your head. Position the wig hairline about ¼ cm in front of your hairline. Once you are satisfied with the matching of the wig and your hairline, mark the area in which you will trim the lace back to the hairline. Remove the piece and carefully cut the lace back to the hairline. Do not leave any lace on the unit for the most natural look.
Step 2: Clean
Use Scalp Protector around the perimeter of your head to remove any oil or bacteria.
Ultra Hold Directions
Use Ultra Hold very sparingly, a little goes a long way. I don’t recommend using the brush that comes with the jar; it allows too much glue at once. Use a small, thin item such as an eye shadow brush to apply the adhesive.
Apply a thin coat of glue around the perimeter. Use a cool blow dryer to for about 5 minutes until the glue is tacky/sticky. The glue takes about 15 minutes to get tacky, please do not apply the lace onto the glue until it's very sticky or your wig will lift in a couple of days.
You may use Blue Liner Tape a couple of inches before your hairline to provide support. The combination of Blue Liner Tape and Ultra Hold should allow for a 3-week hold. This is highly recommended for first time users, you’ll develop your own application techniques with practice.
Use a blow dryer on cool heat (lowest setting, never hot) to dry the glue until it is a little sticky to the touch. Press the unit and glued area together and apply constant pressure until the unit stays by itself. This may take 1 minute or longer, but be patient.
Repeat the steps for your nape and sides. Before you style the wig please wait 15 minutes to allow the glue to adhere and completely dry.
Wig Removal Instructions- Ultra Hold
C-22 adhesive remover, Lace Release, and 99% Alcohol will assist in removing your unit. Spray C-22 generously and allow the glue remover to work. Do not pull or tug the lace, it will damage your lace and your hair. Alternate between using C-22, Lace Release, and the 99% Alcohol to remove your lace. Do not pull the lace or attempt to force it off, or you may damage your skin and the lace.
You should be able to roll the excess glue off of your skin and wig once the remover has set. Please contact a customer service rep. With any questions at (404) 467-0869. Thanks!
Adhesive: Endura Bond
Supplies Needed:
Scalp Protector
Skin protector
Endura Bond Remover
Optional: Super Tape
Toothbrush- You will dip the tooth brush into a bowl of Endura Bond Remover to remove excess glue
Rat Tail comb for glue application
Step 1: Apply skin protector on the perimeter of your head to ensure an oil free area.
Step 2: Roll on a thin layer of our Skin Protector to create a thin layer between your skin and the glue. This will aid in protecting your skin from irritation. You may also use Super Taper to place a layer between the glue and your skin. Tape allows the unit to stay on longer as well.
Step 3: Position the Lace Unit on your head in order to visualize the amount of lace that will need to be cut. Cut the lace back evenly according to your hairline. Position the unit on your head exactly where you want it to sit. Use bobby pins to hold the unit on your head.
Step 4: Take a small amount of Endura Bond (about the size of a pencil point) and apply to your forehead one inch at a time. Start with your forehead and work your way to the sides. Spread it an inch wide and press the lace down on it. Apply light pressure to the lace in order to ensure a firm hold. When you are applying the unit to your sides, apply the Endura Bond and turn your head the opposite way, so you will not experience pinching if you used too much during application. Repeat these steps for the entire perimeter of your head.
Use a small amount, use of too much will causes white flaking and hardened lace, in which you will remove with a toothbrush soaked in the Endura Bond Remover.
Step 5: For the nape of your neck you must tilt your head down to your chest to ensure you have enough room to move your head freely. If not, you will feel discomfort from pinching of your neck as a result of glue applied incorrectly.
OPTIONAL: You may use Super Tape on your skin and apply Endura Bond onto the tape in order to increase the hold for an addition 2 weeks. Wrap the perimeter with a scarf to hold down edges.
If you get the glue in your hair, use a toothbrush soaked in the remover to gently remove the glue or any residue. Excess glue dries hard and may appear white. Be sure to use as little as possible when applying the glue.
Removal of Endura Bond
Use a toothbrush to gently rub the remover onto your lace. This process could take an extended amount of time. Once the unit is removed, soak the entire lace wig in a bowl of Endura bond remover for 30-45 minutes and gently use a toothbrush to remover the glue once it has softened. Do not put anything else on your unit, including water or any other adhesive remover, because it will not work properly. You may allow your unit to soak in a bucket of the adhesive remover for an hour or as long as needed. Best results occur after a few hours.
Washing Your Wig
Products to wash your Diva Lace Wig:
I recommend washing your unit with our Redken products. Avoid products with Alcohol, which dries the hair.
Once it is cleaned to your satisfaction, use a large towel to wrap the wig in and gently squeeze excess water out of the wig. If you don’t have time, use a blow dryer on a low setting to gently dry your unit. If you follow these instructions, your unit should last up to a year if you are sealing the knots after each wash, using a loop brush.
HOW TO WASH A LACE WIG
Learning how to properly care for your lace wig will allow you to enjoy the unit for much longer. Avoid washing your lace wig while it’s still attached on your head. In order to properly care for your lace unit, you must shampoo and condition it while it is on a mannequin.
Supplies required:
Wide Tooth comb
Wig Head/ Mannequin
Diva Lace Knot Sealer
Hand Towel
Step 1: Use a wide tooth comb to gently comb hair to free of any tangles.
Step 2: Position your lace wig on the wig head form in a sink or bathtub and saturate the hair with warm water while still on the wig head.
Squeeze enough shampoo to saturate the hair from root to tip in your palms and gently massage the hair. Repeat to ensure hair is clean from product and shampoo. Do not rub the hair during the washing process, as that may cause tangling. Also keep the wig on the head form in an upright position, to avoid tangling of the unit.
Step 3: Apply a deep conditioner to the wig in the same manner the shampoo was applied, and allow it to penetrate for 10 minutes, ensuring all strands are covered. Use cool water to rinse the conditioner, ensuring all residue has been removed.
Step 4: Once all conditioner has been removed from the hair, gently squeeze the hair to reduce the amount of water. Use a wash cloth to gently soak excess water. For curly hair, use Redken curl defining products and frizz reducer for the best results.
Step 5: Turn wig in side out and place the wig on your mannequin so that the lace is exposed. Spray the unit with the Knot Sealer, which prevents excess shedding.
Step 6: Allow wig to air dry. When dry, avoid excessive combing. Style as desired with flat iron or curler.
*Tip- It’s recommended to wash your unit once every two weeks to avoid excess wear on lace and hair. Use dry shampoo in the interim to remove excess product build up.
BLEACH BATH INSTRUCTIONS HOW TO DETANGLE YOUR WIG
Supplies required:
Bucket
Clorox Bleach (must be Clorox and not a generic brand)
Wide Tooth Comb
Redken Shampoo and Deep conditioner
To detangle human hair you may submerge your unit into a mixture of Clorox and hot water. This process restores the natural texture of the hair by stripping a layer of cuticle. You must deep condition the hair after this process to restore it's luster and shine.
Step 1. Mix one gallon of steaming hot water with 1/4 cup of Clorox bleach. Submerge your lace wig in the water for 2-3 minutes. Gently comb the hair with a wide tooth comb.
Step 2. Remove unit from bleach and water and proceed to shampoo with the Redken Fresh Curl products to restore the hair with luster and shine.
Step 3. Saturate the unit with the Fresh Curl Conditioner and place it in a microwave for 30 seconds to deep condition the strands. If a microwave is not available, place the unit in a plastic ziploc bag, seal it and allow it to hair to remain in the bag for 15 minutes.
Step 4. Remove the hair from the baggie, and rinse the hair while on a mannequin and allow to air dry.
Step 5. Seal the knots of your unit and proceed to style as usual.
Your wig will look beautiful after a bleach bath. Do not bleach bath more than once a month, as this is a chemical process which may alter the integrity of the hair.
